It is the primary responsibility of the Telemarketing Specialist to maintain complete knowledge of, and comply with, the department policies/procedures and service standards. Receives and confirms room reservations via telephone from guests or other casino personnel, by gathering relative information from the computer, and obtaining additional information from appropriate casino personnel when necessary. Contact all guests on call sheet, communicate professionally, be fully knowledgeable of all promotions and events, and extend the highest level of customer service in a prompt and efficient manner. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Mandalay Bay policies, practices, and procedures.Provide legible communication and directions.
Act as a hotel/casino ambassador.
Meet minimum required number of calls as directed.
Compute basic mathematical calculations.
Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
Prioritize, organize and follow up.
Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.
Follow directions thoroughly.
Understand guest service needs.
Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
Work with minimal supervision.
Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
Preforms all other job duties as requested.

Minimum of at least 21 years of age.
Must have 1 year of experience in customer service.
Must have 1 year of experience in the marketing and advertising field.
Must be able to obtain a valid Gaming Card and Alcohol Awareness Card.
Must be able to communicate effectively in English in both written and oral forms.
Must have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance, adhering to Mandalay Bay Resort standards.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
High School diploma or equivalent.

Able to work as a team with co-workers.
Previous experience in a similar resort setting.
