Summary

To provide excellent customer service to casino guests by generating new casino business, attracting and developing casino players, and ensuring that their gaming budget and non-gaming goals are met. Ensures compliance with company, departmental and gaming policies and regulations.

• Meets or exceeds all revenue and associated goals assigned by the VP of Player Development

• Initiates and implements strategies as directed by the VP of Player Development to develop new VIP players to increase casino trips, return visits, and profitability

• Responsible for making room reservations, securing amenities, limo arrangements, and all necessary paperwork for casino guests

• The ability to make critical business decisions that are based on recorded play, earned points, comp availability and customer profitability

• Actively develops and maintains guest loyalty and incremental visitation through personal contact such as on-property hosting, telemarketing, direct mail, and email using available amenities and promotional opportunities

• Able to regain guest loyalty under difficult circumstances

• Brings back declining VIP players through personal contact management and marketing strategies

• Maintains current knowledge of all special events and promotions to ensure guest satisfaction

• Develops and maintains an active player list

• Proactively seeks out new business introducing the benefits of and soliciting enrollment for the Passport Player’s Club

• Well-groomed, dressed in professional business attire within the Ellis Island Casino appearance standards while on duty and on property

 
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
• 2 years minimum customer service hospitality background required
• 2 years minimum casino experience preferred
• Working knowledge of general computer programs, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Previous computer experience with OPERA /LMS/SYNKROS preferred
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor’s degree or other secondary education certification in related field preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age

Physical Requirements
• Work indoors and move throughout the property over 75% of the time
• Lift, bend/kneel & work outdoors less than 25% of the time
• Hearing, vision, speech and literacy (critical)
• Ability to work in environments that are smoky, noisy, hot, cold
