Job Description:
1. Position purpose / scope
This position is responsible for the following duties:
Greet guests.
Tender transactions (including cash, credit card, comp, coupon, room charge and gift certificate).
Assist with seating guests.
Maintain cleanliness of restaurant including dusting and sweeping
2. Functions and responsibilities:
Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
Essential:
Smiles and provides warm greeting to guests.
Inquires about guests seating preferences.
Walks guests to desired seating areas.
Informs guests about specials and featured items.
Informs guests of who their server will be.
Tenders all transactions including cash, credit card, comp, coupon, room charge and gift certificate.
Maintains cleanliness of restaurant including dusting and sweeping.
Assists with monthly inventory counts.
Answers any questions guests may have.
Utilizes warm, friendly and diplomatic telephone skills to take guest inquiries.
Knows what stations are open and which Servers are in each station.
Properly and fairly rotates seating to avoid over loading Food Servers.
Properly prepares daily drops for cage.
Inquires about guest satisfaction upon guest departing.
Maintains a safe and clean environment for guests and co-workers.
Offers guests comment cards at the conclusion of the dining experience.
Organizing waiting queue and greets guests prior to them arriving at Cashier.
